Building a professional network has never been more important to land a job. People work with and hire people they know, trust and like. This journey will support participants in identifying their personal brand, that highlights the essence of who they are and what makes them most compelling as candidates. They will learn and explore how to use their personal brand to communicate their ideas with confidence, clarity and to the point to turn their networking experience into a personal and memorable connecting moment that can help them pave the way to their next career steps. Students will be able to reuse these tools and put them into practice right away both in their personal and professional lives.

During the workshop, they will learn to:

  • define your personal brand: what makes you most desirable
  • clarify your needs and networking goals;
  • understand who can help you;
  • understand how to establish a win-win connection
  • Keep the ball rolling: nurture your network
  • Other practical elements: how to make introductions effectively, ask for referrals, use emails as an effective networking tool, etc.
