Description | In this course, the participants are introduced to the current identification techniques for micro-organisms on the species level and get a brief introduction into bacterial taxonomy. In practical exercises, the participants can test different identification methods and compare the results. The following techniques will be introduced: MALDI TOF, fatty acid and biochemical profiling, partial DNA sequencing and whole genome sequencing. |
