The DMF impromptu satellite event will take place Thursday November 14th 4-6pm in room 2917.1 at the Department of Fundamental Microbiology (UNIL). During the DMF impromptu satellite, PhD students will have the opportunity to meet with 3 of the 6 speakers of the impromptu. The speakers will first briefly present their career path in science. This will be followed by 10-min chalk-talk presentation by PhD students of their PhD project, followed by questions and discussion. The aims are to train presentation skills and to meet established scientists from diverse horizons. On November 15th, the students are welcome to attend the impromptu during which the external speakers will present their own research in a more formal setting. |
