Description

'Most job hunters who fail to find their dream jobs fail not because they lack information on the job market, but because they lack information about themselves.' -D. Bolles- Overview Most of us know how daunting finding a job can be. As a PhD student you know this all too well. As you approach the end of your PhD, you are trying to figure out what's next for you and you wish you had the clarity and confidence to look ahead and plan your professional future. The good news is: nothing is wrong with you and you are not alone! Finding a dream job can be a tricky business. Very few people know since childhood what they wanted to do with their lives when they grew up; the rest of us, we are trying to find our way, and we may find it ? sooner or later. Through this workshop we will support you to identify what's already there. We will provide hands-on tools, so you can clearly see your potential, identify your core values and discover what impact you can have in the world and use it to shape your own career path. This workshop is highly interactive to make learning and self-discovery engaging, fun and very effective. You will look at yourself in ways you've never thought of before and you will get a better under-standing of where you want to go. Our approach is based on the pioneer Co-active® coaching method that has one of the best track records on the market and the highest industry standards in the coaching profession. Added to this approach, we integrate exercises and activities from proven career-based methods. What to expect from this experience: Day 1 - Identify your core values and your strengths; - Clarify your life direction and your impact on other people; - What is getting in the way: dealing with self-doubt and fear; - Practice specific exercises that give you powerful insights into your life and give your new tools, which you can apply immediately. Day 2 - Build your unique career vision (career purpose); - Gain higher confidence in your ability to make a change; - Become aware of what's possible by looking at things from a new perspective; - Take the first steps to build a realistic action plan; - Fill your toolbox with new thoughts, activities, exercises you will be able to use in the future, including the questions to ask yourself that will drive your job search.
