Description

This winter school is intended for doctoral and early career postdoctoral students who are interested in recent developments in mathematical models based on low-rank matrix and tensor approximations. The school will be taught by 5 world-wide experts in the field, specialised in high-dimensional numerical tensor calculus, numerical optimisation methods on Riemannian manifolds, and applications of low-rank models in data science and machine learning. In addition, a poster session will be organised as an informal networking event where junior participants can present their own research.
