Description | This one-day doctoral workshop will explore the relationships between rhetoric, literature, and political thought in early modern Europe, and will be led by Prof. Rhodri Lewis, Senior Research Scholar and Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Princeton University, and formerly Professor of English Literature at the University of Oxford. It will comprise a guest lecture by Prof. Lewis taking Shakespeare's Macbeth as its focus, and an advanced seminar; the advanced seminar will include presentations by doctoral students, along with feedback from the guest speaker and other workshop participants.
