Season 3, episode 4 : Starring in our 4th episode is Julie Billaud. She holds a PhD in social anthropology and is now Professor of Anthropology at the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID).

 


Season 3, episode 3 : In this third episode, we present you a portrait of Lionel Pernet, doctor in archaeology from the University of Lausanne. He is currently director of the Cantonal Museum of Archaeology and History in Lausanne.

 


Season 3, episode 2 : This week's portrait is that of Sophie Leclère, doctor in history from the Université libre de Bruxelles & Université Saint-Louis–Bruxelles (BE) and blogger about the PhD (http://what-sup.net). Sophie is currently responsible of the coordination and the valorization of the doctorate at Université catholique de Louvain (BE).

 


Season 3, episode 1 : "Doing a PhD... And then what?" is coming back for a third season with in opening portrait: Guillaume Emaresi. After a PhD at the Department of Ecology and Evolution of the University of Lausanne and a formation at the "Haute Ecole Pédagogique (HEP)" of the canton of Vaud, Guillaume Emaresi is currently a biology teacher at the Auguste Piccard College in Lausanne.

 


Season 2, bonus episode : Season 2 is pleased to present the interview of Prof. Michael Hengartner for a bonus episode. Michael Hengartner is currently President of the ETH Board. Previously, he was Rector of the University of Zurich where he was a pioneer in promoting doctoral programs and transferable skills.

 


Season 2, episode 8 : The last portrait for this second season is that of Aglaia Myropolska, a PhD in mathematics from the University of Geneva. After a post-doctorate at the University of Paris-Sud, she is currently a quantitative trader at Cargill, a company active in Switzerland in the field of grain and oilseed trading.

 


Season 2, episode 7 : This week, we feature you an interview with Alexandre Noël, who holds a PhD in Life Sciences from the University of Lausanne and is responsible for the Lausanne branch of BNF national qualification programme.

 


Season 2, episode 6 : Discover the portrait of Nele Dael, doctor in psychology from UNIGE. After a post-doctorate at UNIL, she is currently working as a behavioural researcher at Vima Link, a start-up that develops advanced social computing technologies, merging artificial intelligence, computer vision and behavioural psychology.

 


Season 2, episode 5 : In this fifth episode, we present a portrait of Ivo Giudicetti, a doctor in contemporary history from the University of Fribourg. After having been a "Politics and Science" fellow at the Paraliament building, he is currently spokesperson and public affairs specialist at santésuisse.

 


Season 2, episode 4 : Starring in our 4th episode is Mallory Schaub. She has a PhD in psychology and is currently in charge of the teaching and learning support centre at the University of Geneva.

 


Season 2, episode 3 : This week's portrait is that of Lorenzo Poglia, doctor in neurobiology from the University of Geneva. After having been head of the scientific sector of the activities of the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear risk defence system of the State of Geneva, Lorenzo is currently project officer for an NGO: the WWF.

 


Season 2, episode 2 : Watch the portrait of Angélique Fellay, doctor in sociology of work from UNIL. After having been in charge of human resources (HR) for the department of psychiatry at the CHUV, she is currently deputy director of the Haute école de travail social et de la santé (HETSL) in Lausanne.

 


Season 2, episode 1 : "Doing a PhD... And then what?" retruns for a second season with the opening portrait of Bastien Chopard. After a PhD in theoretical physics, he is currently a professor of computer science at the University of Geneva.

 


Season 1, episode 6 : Our last portrait for this season: Samer Angelone, PhD in ecology and genetics from the University of Jaén in Spain, scientific filmmaker and currently director of the Global Science film festival (sciencefilm.ch).


Season 1, episode 5 : Starring in our 5th episode is Aude Laurent, Director of Human Resources at Semtech, an innovative company specializing in high technology.


Season 1, episode 4 : In this fourth episode, we present a portrait of Denis Billotte, who holds a PhD in Medieval French Literature from the University of Lausanne, and since 2002 Secretary General of CUSO.


Season 1, episode 3 : This week's portrait is that of Pauline Fritsch, doctor in neurobiology from the University of Fribourg and blogger (Academiac.net, information and advice for doctoral candidates). Pauline is currently coordinator of the doctoral program in Organismal Biology at the University of Neuchâtel, as well as of the MAS in Integrated Crop Management.
