Description | The Biology meeting is an external activity.
Biology17, the annual Swiss conference on ecology, evolution, systematics and conservation, will take place at the University of Bern on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 February 2017. Please save the date!
The pre-conference program will start on the afternoon of 1 February with two workshops followed by a speed-dating event. The workshops will cover topics in computational biology and in transdisciplinary research.
Please note that although the meeting is held one week earlier than usual, we won’t abstain from holding the popular Darwin party on Thursday night to celebrate Charles Darwin’s birthday.
Biology17 is the largest conference of organismic biology in Switzerland and aims to provide a platform for exchange between students, researchers and professors across scientific institutions, research groups and topic areas. biology17 is also the annual joint meeting of the Swiss Zoological, Botanical, and Systematics societies. In 2017 we also welcome the support of the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB) and are specifically encouraging participants to submit abstracts for our new computational biology session. |
